Why survey? how it works

You’ll provide us with the email addresses of the clients you would like to survey. (Rest assured, all information we receive from you is kept 100% confidential.) Some prefer to survey recent clients, such as those they served in the past three months. Others want to go back further, such as a year or two. Whatever time frame you select is fine.

We will provide a list of survey questions from which to choose. The Simple Survey Success Package allows up to 10 questions to appear on the survey, while the Deep Digging Survey Package allows up to 20. Please respond back to us via email with your selected questions. If you would rather use questions that are not on our list, that’s fine. Just email us your desired questions. Conversely, if you would rather we select the questions based upon our knowledge and experience, we can do that for you.

We will then design your survey using the online tool Survey Monkey, enter your clients’ email addresses into the send-out list, and send you a preview copy. You will have an opportunity to suggest changes.

Once you are satisfied with the look and content of the survey, we will send the survey via email to your list. We will monitor results as they arrive, and send a reminder to those who have not responded within five days. A final reminder will be sent to non-responders after ten days. All results are then reviewed and tabulated, and we will email you a personalized report with the raw data. You will also receive our interpretation of the results, along with notes about trends that we notice in your clients’ survey responses and recommendations for improving business processes and services.

You can use this data to discover and improve your business policies, practices, pricing and services offerings. who is administering the survey?

Since 2000, Sara Pedersen has offered hands-on organizing assistance for countless Twin Cities residents. She also coaches new and prospective professional organizers and offers marketing services and products for small business owners, hence the nickname “The Marketing Fairy.”

Sara Pedersen has a B.A. in journalism from the University of Minnesota. In her life before organizing (LBO), she worked in  in print production, project management, and marketing and communications before founding Time to Organize®. At the U of M, she helped to create and administer a variety of surveys. She has also conducted surveys for NAPO-Minnesota and also for her own organizing business.

She is an active member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO). She has held the positions of Communications & Technology Director, Secretary, Newsletter Editor, Public Relations Director, and Communications Dispatcher for NAPO Minnesota. She is also currently an Ambassador for NAPO at a national level. She is also a member of the elite Golden Circle of NAPO, a distinguished group of professional organizers who have been in the industry five or more years.
