An Organized Baby Shower Gift Idea

My cousin is having her first baby next month, and I just attended her baby shower a couple weeks ago. I needed the perfect organized baby shower gift idea that would be useful and adorable, and, of course, organizing-themed. A quick perusal on Pinterest gave me some ideas, and a follow-up on Etsy helped me located just the perfect thing.

I started with the most adorable closet dividers from Toad and Lily. This set of five keep baby’s clothing organized by size in the closet. And at just $12 for the set, it was a bargain! I also contacted the vendor directly to see if she would create a set of matching labels for the plastic storage bins I was including in the gift. (I know that babies tend to have more folded clothing than hanging, so I wanted to provide both types of storage options.) She was happy to oblige for a small additional fee. There were dozens of patterns and themes for these neat dividers, and I choose the sailing theme because that just happened to be the theme of the baby’s room.

With that good start, I also purchased four Sterilite bins (about $4 each), four packs of kid-sized hangers (a buck each at Target), and my favorite hanging organizer for maximizing vertical space in a closet ($8 at Target). I assembled it all in the bins, tied it up with a blue polka-dot bow, and added a cute baby teether toy. Organized gift complete!
